Here are some notes on what is new or different inside the chromebook 3180
Battery to MB cable - a separate cable that connects the battery to the motherboard
Battery Screws - to remove, use a #00 instead of #0 screwdriver seems to work better
Headphone port / audio board - is now separate from the motherboard!!!!! YAY!
Charging port - now has a metal brace to hold it in place with screws
Wifi card - is not separate from motherboard and a lot smaller
Wifi card - now has metal brace to secure black and white connectors
LCD cable has metal brace to secure / cover LCD to MB connector
LCD hinges - have plastic covers that snap into place to cover LCD metal hinge and LCD cable
No FAN
No daughterboard - all in one motherboard.
- LCD metal hinges seem more durable then the ones in the past
All USB and SD ports are connected to MB
All USB have a metal brace to secure to MB
Back cover screws do not come out easily on purpose!!!!! YAY!!
